Always Sharp Wasserfester Kohl-Eyeliner

Poor quality

I bought this back in 2021 and LOVED it. It wore really well, very easy to use… BUT the two I bought after it were very poor quality. I’d open it and have no tip - it would take 4-5 time screwing the cap on and off to get a point. My third purchase didn’t even last two weeks.

Wouldn't repurchase

The good: pretty colour, nice subtle look The bad: dried out quite quickly, hard to apply and smudge because of its dry and harder texture, glitter isn't very noticeable, the twist mechanism almost broke

I really liked this eyeline the two times I used it. The third time I went to use it the tip must have broken off in the cap as no eyeliner. I am returning it.

BEST EYELINER

I absolutely love this product! I have been using it for almost 3+ years and it is amazing. The color is great and the application is super easy. The only flaw is that occasionally the tip will break easily so be careful with that! Otherwise, 10/10 recommend it!!

Not worth the money.

I bought both black and brown colors at suggestion of the sales rep when asking what she would recommend for a good gel retractable eyeliner that holds well & doesnt smudge. She recommended these Smashbox gel eyeliners so I gave it a try. At 1st I was excited; I liked the ease of the application, the colors were great and and the texture of the eyeliners made the application very smooth. I thought I could make the final switch over. I have used both drugstore and high end gel eyeliners and the drugstore ones work well for a fraction of the price, I just have the ongoing smudging issue because of my oily skin. It looked and felt great when I 1st put it on. However, I looked in the mirror, and still had the embarrassing smudges under my eyes. I gave it several chances but the deal breaker for me was after only a few weeks, the tip of the liner broke on the black one and I could never get anymore out and I know for a fact I did not use up the whole eyeliner product in 3 weeks time as I did not use make up everyday within those 3 weeks. Too late to return the product now.

Product changed don’t waste your money

I used to LOVE this pencil. Used it for years. But now it just breaks literally every time you sharpen. They must’ve changed something. Complete waste of money.

I’ve used this product for years and loved it, but recently everyone I buy is breaking every time I sharpen it. I’ve gone through 3 in the last few weeks, that’s ridiculous! Not sure if they changed the formula or sharpening lid, but it’s definitely not worth it anymore. Time to find a new HG eyeliner!

Best yet!

I love the design of this self sharpening pencil! I was looking for a liner that I didn’t have to have a sharpener on me at all times. With the twist of the cap it is perfect every time. The formula is long lasting and glides on- I finally found what my go to liner is.

Good basic eyeliner

I have use this for years. I think it’s easy to apply and the stick lasts a reasonable amount of time. I really like this self sharpening aspect as well. That probably sold me more than anything.

Works but won’t purchase again

I bought this product for the waterproof feature. It is fabulously waterproof but the application is a bit tough. It’s almost like the formula is very firm and not easily blendable. Worked for what I needed but I wouldn’t purchase it again

The Best Basic

Easily my favorite eyeliner, always repurchasing. Stays sharp (as promised), and the color payoff is awesome. I smudge mine everyday and it stays put even when smudged! Love love love!

Packaging hampers application

The plastic pen limits the ability for the product to reach my eye line. This left poor lining. Thankfully this product didn’t last more than a couple months only using it on my upper lash line a couple times a week before I had an excuse to purchase a different liner in a similar color.
