This product was a no for me. I saturated my sectioned hair and used tension when blow drying and was left with hair that felt greasy and heavy. When I straightened my hair there was a weird residue on my fa iron. When I went outside the next day the humidity caused my hair to frizz up so bad!!

A must have for silk press!

This product is honestly amazing, best thing I've done for my hair. I have 4a heat trained hair (straightened), I do silk presses on myself. I used this today along with chi silk infusions. I'm not sure about frizz control yet but the shine and silliness is enough for me. I've never had a real problem with frizz anyways. My hair is unbelievably silky and shiny. It's bouncy and soft. I recommend this 10/10 I will always be using this product.

Disappointed

Didn’t see any reduction in frizz and it also made my hair feel stiff and dry.

I hate this stuff.

I tried the original dream coat on my 4a hair and it was one of the best anti frizz products I every tried. So I decided to try the extra strength... omg worst idea ever. I've tries using it multiple times. Making sure to use tension. My hair immediately starts sucking up any moisture around me. It's a waste of all the work I put in.

Love WOW products. I have frizzy, curly/wavey hair so when I heat style I really need a product to protect my hair, and lock in that frizz. This product does it all and lasts for DAYSS!

Don't do it

Absolute waste of money, I'm glad I bought the travel size first. My hair has never been this bad, dare I say it's more frizzy than before! Save your money.

I used it once and it seemed to work great initially. Then, a couple weeks after my hair got super brittle and dry. The breakage was craaazy. I would hold a strand of hair in my fingers and give it the slightest tug and it would snap apart. And you know it's bad when this happens while Im pregnant. I couldnt even cash in on those famous amazing pregnancy hair days. Prior to this my hair had been so healthy and growing long. I had just trimmed it and it was the healthiest it had ever been. It's been 3 months since my first application and I am still struggling to undo the damage. My hair is unbelievably frizzy and dry. It is brittle and uneven. It is rough to the touch. There are parts of my head that have lost their curl. My once healthy shiny hair is now dull and uneven. I know it was this product because nothing else in my regimen changed. I was using the same products, I lived in the same house same city. The only thing that was added was this. I know everyone's hair reacts differently, but please dont risk it. This product has wreaked havoc on my hair and given me many a meltdown.

Great spray - was buying on repeat but found a cheaper alternative that’s as good as I have thick long hair that needs a lot of product. Worth investing for holidays:

DO NO USE ON CURLY HAIR!!!

I use to have the prettiest naturally curly hair and now my hair is PERMANENTLY damaged. I don’t use heat on my hair often so it’s usually hard to maintain a blow out. Since this product is advertised as temporary frizz control and needs to be reapplied every few washes I thought it was safe to use on my hair when I got a blow out a couple times a year. It’s been six months since I’ve used it once and no only did it do nothing for my blow out, It ruined my curls permanently and now my hair is stringy, flat, and lifeless. My curls have dropped and no matter what I do I can’t get them to come back. I have tried everything and nothing has been able to reverse this damage. This product is not properly advertised and is not safe to use on hair that usually styled naturally. I’m absolutely devastated and don’t know what to do. Every washday is a nightmare and trying to fix it every morning is time consuming and usually pointless. DO NOT USE ON NATURAL CURLY HAIR YOU’LL REGRET IT!!!

I have 3B curly hair that frizzes the moment it senses moisture. I first tried the regular Dream Coat at a salon on a 90+ degree day in NYC. It helped with frizz, even through sweat, but left my hair a bit dry. I saw the potential though, so I gave the Extra Strength version a try—and this time, I did it right. Before styling, I used the WOW Money Mask (left it in for 5–7 minutes), then parted my hair as instructed. Here’s the key: I sprayed and blow-dried section by section, not all at once. I took my time. After blow-drying each section, I followed with a light pass of a flat iron to seal it in (yes, the heat activation is crucial). I usually avoid heat, but this step made a huge difference. Results? Incredible. I went on a week-long trip where it rained every single day. I had multiple events and no time to manage my curls’ unpredictable moods. Even after getting caught in pouring rain, my hair stayed smooth, glossy, and soft. A little wave came through here and there, but for that kind of weather? Unbelievable performance. This product won’t give you pin-straight hair in a hurricane—let’s be real—but it will drastically reduce frizz and hold your style through humidity, sweat, and even light rain. If you have healthy waves, you might get instant results. But if your hair is a bit damaged (no judgment—we’ve all been there), just be patient and follow the process. It’s worth it.
