Loveshine Candy Glow - Lippenbalm

Beautiful formula.

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I got the color cherry red. I am not a fan of this color, it looks a bit cartoonish on me, however, the formula is beautiful as always. It’s creamy, a little sheer, and smells delicious. The packaging is sturdy and luxurious. I got this lip balm in #44 (Nude Lavallaire) and it looks much nicer than cherry red.

Fancy lip balm

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] The YSL Candy Glow Tinted Butter Balm in Lavender Blaze is a versatile sheer lip balm. It’s ph reactive so it will look different on everyone. It has a very light purple tint but still pink and it smells like mango or passion fruit so it’s a nice summer scent. The balm was moisturizing and felt nice on the lips. The price point is a little high for a balm but I think you get what you pay for. Overall it’s a great lip balm and the packing is super cute.

Regarding the texture, I can say that I didn't like it very much since it doesn't last very long on the lips. The finish is good, the packaging is beautiful, but as soon as I opened it, I realized that the butter balm was too flimsy and moved easily from its position. But it’s a cute color!!!

Very luxurious!

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] This packaging is beautiful and luxurious, it feels and looks expensive. The actual lip color is not as amazing, at least on my skin tone. It's not long lasting, but it does glide onto the lips nicely. You're going to look cute reapplying though, that's a guarantee.

Love love love. I’m not a big lipstick gal but love a gloss. This lipstick applies more like a gloss than a lipstick. It’s shiny, lightly colored, and wears beautifully. It even smells like candy! Will absolutely buy more colors.

So so good

This lip balm is really, really good. The packaging feels heavy and luxe. The scent is sweet, like candy, but not overpowering, and goes away once applied. The texture is light and soft, not grainy like some other high end balms. It definitely feels like it’s moisturizing, not just “cosmetic” but leans more into “lip care”. I can reapply all day and it doesn’t get irritating or peely. I didn’t particularly love the color (lavender) on my skin tone but everything else is on point. I’m going to keep using it anyways just because it feels so nice! I would definitely consider getting another color in the future.

Subtle yet sexy and leaves lips feeling great

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] This lip balm is absolutely perfect for every day or dressing up. As I’ve entered my 40’s, I feel like my lips have lost some of their color. This gives the most natural pop of color and shine. It feels great on my lips, as well. The packaging is so fancy, it looks as luxurious as it makes my lips feel.

It’s just okay

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] Love the packaging, it definitely has the luxury look. Love the color it looks to be on the darker side before applied but it goes on as a pretty sheer soft purple color. But it’s not that moisturizing to me, I feel I need to apply another clear lip balm for moisture before applying this one.

Beautiful opacity and finish with hydration!

I had previous experience with the candy glaze lipsticks from YSL and enjoyed them very much. I was optimistic about the candy glow tinted butter balm, but I assumed it would be a thinner and less opaque version of the lipsticks. So I felt as though, going in, I had realistic expectations about what I was going to receive. I was very impressed with these sticks because they’re actually a lot more pigmented than you would’ve expected considering they’re branded as a balm. Appearance wise, these are on par with lipstick with regards to the effect on the lips. My lip type is extremely dry, so any lip products with a lot of alcohol in them, aggravate my lips and dry them out even further. This has included a lot of high-end lip brands in the past. I was pleasantly surprised to find these particular butter bombs did not exacerbate my dry lips. I can use these as lipstick in terms of opacity and coverage, but I’m still getting the hydration. I desperately need from a proper lip balm. The shade itself is a lilac shade, which definitely skews cold, but I actually enjoy layering this on top of lipsticks that skew a little too orange on me. The lineup is well rounded enough that there’s a shade for everyone.

Nice shade but doesn’t last

I received this product to test and review. First impression out of the box nice packaging, the color looks very good the only thing though that it doesn’t last very long. Not even a good hour, the shade is beautiful though

Five star product!

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] This perfect tinted lip balm comes in an elegant-looking tube and provides both lightweight moisture and a natural looking pop of color. It looks like a bold shade but is actually super subtle when applied.
