I love colognes that are straight forward and Bleu de Chanel L'exclusif is just that. It blends a woody and amber heavy combination with a powdery/musky undertone. I will say it certainly is a long lasting cologne. My hamper smells like it for days before laundry. It is definitely a night time fall/winter scent that people will notice right away.

Great scent for fall!

I’ve always liked the original Bleu de Chanel, but L’Exclusif feels more mature and smoother. It starts fresh and clean, then settles into a warm, woody, and slightly creamy amber base. It’s classy without trying too hard and lasts all day. A refined take on the classic Bleu. I received this product as a gift in exchange for my honest review.

Excellent Complex Masculine Scent!

Excellent scent! Elegant and luxurious. I pick up new notes every time I use it. My wife loves the scent and finds it intriguing. It's first tone is that of earthy wood but quickly with a hit of cinnamon/spice. There is a touch of floral notes but in a way that rounds things out not giving any significant femininity. I will continue to use for that edge in a social setting. I was provided this product free of charge to sample but not directly reimbursed otherwise for the review.

A great fall and winter scent that's warm and cozy

Thank you Chanel, they sent me this free sample through the BzzAgent sampling program. Chanel Bleu has a long history of being a staple in the community. This new L'Exclusif stays in line with the dna but takes a turn. It opens up with an aromatic fresh and spicy wave that moves into more of a gourmand type of scent where the warm amber and wood notes start to shine. I see this more of a fall/winter fragrance or something for the cool nights and sweater weather. Great long lasting scent that projects throughout the room! The bottle has a strong magnetic cap that you can pick up from and the construction of the bottle itself is solid and beautiful! Atomizer is smooth too.

One spritz and suddenly I’m walking slower, my posture improves, and I half expect a theme song to start playing behind me. It’s fresh and elegant, with just enough depth to make people lean in when you pass by. The opening hits with that crisp, clean “I have my life together” vibe — like I iron my shirts and drink espresso on a balcony in Paris (I don’t). Then it dries down into this warm, refined woodiness that lingers all day, like a loyal friend who also smells amazing. I wore it to a casual dinner and someone asked if I “just got back from a yacht.” No yacht. Just Bleu. I always test new colognes by wearing them in stealth mode to see if my wife notices. Within minutes, she zeroed in on me and started nuzzling up like a cat who just discovered a warm lap. Yes, it’s a bit of a splurge, but honestly… this scent is main-character energy in a bottle. Plus, my wife loves it ;)

It’s definitely more of an evening fragrance in my opinion, perfect for a night out or a special occasion. Every time I’ve worn it, I’ve gotten compliments and people have asked what I was wearing.
