Nice fruity and vanill scent

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] This is a great fruity/vanilla scent. It starts pretty strong, doesn’t last too long as it is an EDT. Would recommend for day activities. Great value.

smells very similar to valentino ivory

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] out of all the valentino colognes i would say this is my least favorite due to preference. After spraying in the opening i smell coconut first then lavender with a little bit of citrus. I’m not a big fan of coconut or lavender so that’s why im not really a fan. i would say projection and performance are very good for a EDT i felt i was able to smell it on myself for hours and so can others. It does smell very similar to valentino ivory so if you have that one i dont think this one is needed.

Smells amazing scents last all day would recommend this cologne 100% over. Could not go wrong.

Overpowering Scent caused Headaches

I wanted to like this cologne, and I don’t hate it, but it’s not for me. It’s a sweeter scent but has overwhelming notes of coconut. The strong scent gave me a headache both times I tried wearing it. Otherwise it would be great, maybe others will have better luck.

Beautiful coconut scent

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] Man this is some good stuff! Definitely more of a night time fragrance but you can pull it off in the day if the weather is right. The bottle design is obviously the same, and as for the performance I got a solid 7-8 hours of it on my skin, strong for an EDT!

Long lasting

Coconut scent note is overpowering

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I really like the packaging of the bottle, it gives a luxurious feel. The scent of the perfume is long lasting. I mostly like all the scents notes, except the coconut one. It seems to be a bit overpowering.

Moody, Unique, and Beautiful

We previously bought the Born in Roma Ivory release, and both of us still agree Ivory had the edge overall for us personally. That said, Valentino Donna Born In Roma Purple Melancholia and Valentino Uomo Born In Roma Purple Melancholia deserve respect in their own lane. This limited-edition line feels darker, smoother, and more atmospheric, with a moodier aura that stands apart from some of the other Born in Roma releases. Valentino’s own positioning leans into memory, introspection, and emotion, and that really does come through in the scent profiles.  The Donna version comes across as rich and elegant with a soft plum sweetness and vanilla depth that gives it a deep, feminine, almost melancholic feel without becoming too heavy. The Uomo version is smooth, aromatic, and very wearable, with cardamom, lavender, and a creamy coconut accord that give it a slightly mysterious edge while still feeling masculine and refined. Those note structures are a big part of why this pair feels so distinctive and atmospheric.  What I like most is that this release has its own identity. It does not feel like it is trying to be Ivory, and I think that is why it deserves to be appreciated on its own terms. Ivory may still be our favorite, but Purple Melancholia feels more introspective, more atmospheric, and more about mood. The purple bottles also fit that darker aura perfectly.  Since this is a limited-edition release, I really do think it is worth picking up before it is gone. It feels like the kind of line people will look back on later and wish they had grabbed while it was still available. Easy 5 stars from both of us.

I love this product ever since I got it. It smells amazing and it is truly a great fragrance for the winter.

A good everyday cologne

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] The Valentino purple is a good choice for a summer everyday fragrance because you really get the lavender and the spicy cardamom in the opening but with it’s dry down you get more of the coconut and a bit of the amber wood. But the only thing I don’t like about the cologne is the it doesn’t lasted long, it lasts for like 4 or 5 hours but it’s still a good cologne.

Best perfume

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] One of the best perfumes out there. Just love the scent and I get so many compliments whenever I wear this perfume. Valentino bottles always look so good. And a good weight.
