[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] Packaging is very cute very classy. The texture is similar to The Veil primer by NYX but AMAZING blurring effect. No strong scent. Doesn’t pair with all oil based products.

A great primer that delivers on its claims

Fenty Beauty’s Grip Trip Mattifying + Blurring Primer may be a mouthful when you go to ask for it at the store but once you get done saying the entire name you get the benefit of using a great primer that delivers on all of its claims. It goes on super smooth and a little goes a long way. There is no overpowering smell and you can see the results immediately. It mattifies and blurs without making your skin dry and as someone with oily and often shiny skin especially after applying makeup I really appreciate that it not only feels good on my skin but the mattifying and oil controlling effects seem to last throughout the day with minimal blotting needed. I love how my makeup looks the same at the end of the day as it did when I first put it on. Definitely recommend!!

Not a fan

I really did not like it, I found it was too drying to a point where I felt it emphasised lines and wrinkles, and you need to use quite a bit of it. I also did not feel it was blurring, I did not see much difference in appearance of pores and I actually got an allergic reaction from it. I ended up giving it away.

Keeps makeup in place quite well

Overall this is a great primer. It’s not too sticky but is still grippy enough to keep foundation and other makeup in place. It is blurring, though not quite as blurring as others that I’ve tried. The design/color is a little off-putting, but it works quite well!

Matte Coverage Good For Oily Skin

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] This primer covered blemishes that I wanted covered and made a smooth surface. My makeup stayed put and I like that it has a matte finish. I have oily skin and have to keep applying powder no matter what primer I have on, this one did do the job in creating a smooth canvas. I will keep using it.

Don’t love the packaging

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I’m not sure how to feel about this product. The packaging and inside part make me feel queasy. It looks like brains or worms and I can’t get past that, so I tend to not reach for this product. This is probably just a me thing, but I’m not 100% sure on how well it works. Sometimes it’s a little tingly.

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I really like this primer. I’ve been using it in Florida and it actually helps my makeup stay on even in the heat and humidity. The texture is super nice, not oily or sticky, and it goes on very smoothly. It gives a soft matte finish and makes my skin look more even before I put on foundation. No weird scent and comes with a pump applicator. My makeup holds up better when I use this, so I’ll definitely keep using it.
