Mega-Mushroom Relief & Resilience Gesichtsserum

Worth it!

First my disclaimer: I have sensitive, red, oily yet dehydrated, acne-prone skin. I live in a hot, humid climate with extremely hard water. I am often in the sun at the beach or pool. So my situation is tough, skincare-wise. I LOVE this whole line. It has worked wonders for my redness and sensitivity, as well as hormonal/environmental acne. It is soothing, calming and gentle. There was a purge phase when I started using the line (toner, serum, gel moisturizer), but it was so worth it. I use this serum after the Glamglow 6-acid Superserum and the combo of the two is the perfect amount of exfoliation and hydration for my skin and climate. It soaks in nicely, does not leave a greasy/shiny film. And I actually really like the earthy, botanical smell. Overall I feel that this line has made my skin less reactive and more consistent in tone and texture. (5 months of use at time of writing)

This product is very hydrating and is absorbed into my skin and feels great. I knocked a star off because I kind of had high hopes about it helping with my redness on my cheek area but it didnt do much.

If I was asked to describe this serum with a single adjective, I’d choose “soothing.” Recovering from a heroically hideous holiday sunburn, I busted out my bag of mushrooms— as in Origins Mega-Mushroom line. As opposed to Keith Richard’s—and voila. My boiled lobster-like skin went from feeling like... well, a boiled lobster, to feeling soothed, even cool. Initially, I wasn’t wild about the serum’s aroma, but after the passage of a few days, I began to enjoy the “earthy” smell. In fact, when the scent drifted from my skin into my nose, I felt becalmed and oddly zen. Who knew a skin serum could double as a dojo?

Great for Sensitive Skin, Redness, and Rosacea!

After what seems like searching for the best skincare products and skincare routine for someone who has embarrassingly red skin in the middle of their face, I found this serum. I use this after the DAWFOMMR&R Treament lotion (which I use as a toner) and right before the Tatcha Indigo Cream, and I have seen such dramatic improvement in my skin. It did initially sting and irritate my skin at first, but now I am used to it and it just feels so relieving on my skin. Highly recommend for people struggling with redness!

My holy grail! Literally saved my red and sensitive skin!! Give it a shot

I love this serum and the whole mega-mushroom line. I use this after the facial cleanser and the treatment lotion. It dries on my skin a bit stiff but I follow it with the hydrating gel. It has really helped with my redness when combined with the cleanser, treatment lotion, and hydrating gel. Smell could be better but doesn’t really bother me!

I got this in my Play! box this month, I’m not really sure how much this did for moisturizing my skin. I used it for 3 or 4 days, twice daily. However, it did give me deep rooted, painful, under the skin acne which took days to clear up. I think this would be best for non acne prone skin

This stuff is amazing. Highly underrated. I have incredibly sensitive skin, and because I live in Canada, it (was) always dry and red until I started using this. Well worth the money. I could give up all skin care except for this!!! This is the holy grail for me!! Nothing works as well as this - and I have tried a lot of products.

Moisturizing, Smells Great

I got a deluxe sample of this, and I was thrilled to try it because I love the lotion from the Origins Mega Mushroom line. I don't actually suffer from sensitive skin or redness, but I do have normal-dry skin and I feel like this line is very hydrating. This serum is like a thin lotion consistency, absorbs well, and also layers well under makeup. I read some reviews mentioning it smells like pickles- I did not find this to be true. The entire Mega Mushroom line has the same slightly herbal, earthy across all products. Actually, one of my favorite things about this is the scent. I will say that for the price of this serum, I think I'll just stick with the lotion. If I had a ton of money to throw at skincare I'd probably invest in this whole line, but I don't. However, I would highly recommend trying a sample of this if you enjoy other products from this line- it's definitely a nice product.

Finally! A product that fully delivers and fast!

I'm a former esthetician and now in my perimenopause years with sensitive and aging skin. I've had some stupid rosacea like breakouts and was using a RX treatment and it kept coming back. Within just days this has really helped reduce the inflammation and stinging of the rash. I can use it even on my eyelids to help my eye area feel fresh and hydrated. I'm finding this the nicest of all lines I've used over 30 years of high end brand use. Yay Origins!!

Redness GONE!!

My skin never was very sensitive, but menopause has brought changes to my skin. Redness, dryness and itching. I spent quite a bit of time and money on other “redness relief” products with NO success!! I used origins years ago, but didn’t know they were still around. (Better advertising people}! I bought this bottle and after only one use, redness was not as bad, skin felt soothed. After 1 full week using once a day, redness is COMPLETELY gone!! I rarely take the time to write reviews, but this product deserves all 5 stars!! Love the compliments my skin has been getting!!

I find Toronto air and winter weather had my skin feeling dry and easily irritated/red. Over the past couple of weeks use, my skin has calmed so much and chronic dry areas are slowly coming around. I also find my breakouts are fewer, and if/when they do occur, they are less inflamed and clear up more quickly. I see a lot of complaints about the “earthy” scent but I love it! Smells so soothing and natural. This doesn’t leave any film or residue on your skin, easily layerable. Highly recommend for easily upset skin!
