PRICKLY PEAR – Gesichtsserum mit Peptidmucine

This serum is a great, vegan alternative to snail mucin! The texture is gooey, but lighter than that of snail mucin. Surprisingly, this serum doesn’t feel sticky at all once applied; instead, it hydrates and nourishes the skin. It also works great with other skincare and makeup products. However, it has a slight cactus scent to it.

This is such a cool serum from Glow Recipe! I love how hydrating this is and it makes my skin feel bouncy and hydrated. It gives off the same texture and consistency as snail mucin but without the actual snail! I love this!

This feels so nice on my skin! I overall have super sensitive and acne prone skin and haven’t had any issues with either of those with my skin. I love this stuff! It’s made my skin super glowy and smooth!

I’m absolutely in love with this serum. It has the texture of a mucin but it definitely doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy. I gives instant hydration and such a beautiful glow. AMAZING hydration

I have tried a lot of products similar to this and this ones takes the cake. It’s not sticky, but it really resembles snail mucin. My skin is very hydrated. It doesn’t smell like anything in particular. I really like how it makes my skin look hydrated and plump.

I absolutely love the glow this left on my skin! It left my skin feeling extremely hydrated and more bouncy within the first use. I’m not the biggest fan of the smell though, but I can overlook it for the glow!

Vegan snail mucin alternative

I love snail mucin (and I’m not afraid to use it), but I also love a vegan option that doesn’t rely on snail labor. This serum is made with extract from the prickly pear cactus, and it really has that snail mucin stretch. The serum is clear and viscous, and it has a slightly vegetal scent, almost like peas. It isn’t sticky and makes my dry skin feel bouncy and hydrated.

Silky and lightweight

This serum is so silky and lightweight. It has a slight pleasant cactus scent when you first put it on your hands but I don’t smell anything as I apply it to my face at all. It absorbs quickly and leaves my skin feeling hydrated and elastic. I’ve layered serums on top and had no issues or pilling under makeup. I love it!

I was super excited to try this product because I naturally have dry and flaky skin and this product left my skin feeling super hydrated and bouncy as well. I could definitely feel a difference after using it for a few weeks.
