Genesis - Défense Thermique

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I love this product because it’s a spray bottle as opposed to a squeeze bottle. It’s a lot easier to apply to my hair, and it smells light and lovely in my hair. I use it before a blow dry for best thermal protection on a regular basis. To be honest, I even use it when I don’t heat style my hair for general heat protection.

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] Overall, I’m pretty satisfied with this product. It seems pretty lightweight in the hair. It doesn’t make it feel dirty or sticky and or crunchy. My hair felt soft but manageable. It gave it a little bit more shine, and it was pretty easy to come through without it being super fly away my hair is naturally very dry so I’m always looking for something to add a little bit of moisture to it. You just sprayed in the hair when it’s wet and leave in Super simple to use! The only downfall of it is I didn’t care for the smell. I will continue to use this. I do only shampoo to maybe three times a week so I don’t use this every day so I’m curious to see if it helps with my dryness. It does protect your hair from the heat, which I don’t use a lot of Stanley tools on my hair, but I do blow dry so I’m hoping that this will protect from the heat.

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] This is so amazing. It smells so good and it makes my hair so soft and shiny. It really protects from any heat damage and the bottle doesn't get all clogged up, which I find happens a lot of times with thicker products.

Great heat protectant spray!

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I have not used many Kerastase products but I will be exploring more after trying the Heat projection spray! This spray is a thicker consistency, and even after rinsing the nozzle every use, it does not spray super evenly out of the bottle, so I prefer to spray it into my hand and distribute throughout wet hair so I know it’s on even. Then I will either towel / air dry and use my straightener or blow dry. My hair has never felt so healthy! It is shiny and healthy after using this stuff the last month+. This does have a scent, it’s like a fresh visit to the salon kinda smell.

Makes my hair smoother, softer, and heat-protected

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] Kérastase Genesis Défense Thermique Review I’ve been using this before I blow dry my hair and I really like it. My hair breaks easy and gets frizzy, but this makes it feel softer and smoother without feeling greasy or heavy. It also makes my hair look more “done” and healthy after styling. Plus it smells sooo good like salon hair. Definitely something I’ll keep using.

Great Protection with a Minor Drawback

This Genesis Leave-In Protecting Treatment really helps strengthen my hair and minimize breakage, which I love. It leaves my hair feeling softer and more resilient. However, I’ve noticed that it can sometimes weigh my hair down a bit or make it feel slightly greasy if I use too much. With a little bit of adjustment, though, it’s still a fantastic addition to my haircare routine.

Protective but not heavy

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] This is such a fabulous heat protectant. A few sprays go a long way for my fine hair, and my ends wind up feeling nourished and healthy versus a bit crunchy after heat styling. This helps minimize frizz as well. I only need a few sprays, and usually spray into my hand (photo shows how much I use for fine hair just past my shoulders). I wish the spray was a touch finer so I could spray on directly, but no big deal. The product doesn’t leave any obvious coating on my hair which is great as I don’t want it weighed down.

Helps reduce frizz when styling

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] This spray works pretty well on my hair, I find that it helps tame frizz when I use it prior to blow drying or straightening my hair. I also don’t think it leaves an oily residue behind which I appreciate. Honestly my only issue is the spray bottle top- the mist is not fine enough and I feel like it does not apply evenly, for a higher cost product I would expect this component to be a bit nicer quality.

Good Heat protection

Hair feels soft, shiny, and manageable and my hair feels smoother, softer and easier to detangle after use, even on damp hair before styling. Also it is easier to style and curl!
