Smooth Infusion™ Anti-Frizz - Shampoo

Aveda needs to stop selling this shampoo

I received this shampoo as a gift for my birthday and noticed that it made my hair greasy and stiff. It has 14 1-star ratings on the website but is still being sold in salons. Aveda really needs to listen to its customers' reviews and remove this shampoo from Aveda's collection. I'm grateful that Aveda let me replace the shampoo with another Aveda product.

Poor Shampoo - please bring back the original !

I have used Aveda Smooth Infusion Shampoo and Conditioner for over 11years - I never leave reviews but the new shampoo is so so poor I had too ! It left my hair feeling greasy and limp and I won't be buying again. I wouldn't be leaving 1 star but have to to leave a review

Can we have the old formula back please?

I've gone from having sleek, shiny manageable long hair which was a pleasure to wash and style to having lank, greasy frizzy hair which I tie up into a bun immediately after I dry it because it looks so awful. I'm using the whole Smooth Infusions range which I have used for 15 years but it has all changed and its such a disappointment. The new packaging does not contain the same formula, despite what the sales assistant told me. Now I'm left with lots of products I cannot use........

Disappointing new formula

I have used Smooth Infusion shampoo for more than a decade and loved it, until the formula was changed. The old formula felt richer and cleansed my hair well, whilst "doing what it said on the can." The new version just doesn't work well on my hair. Such a disappointment.

New formula leaves hair tacky and greasy

I used to love Smooth Infusion shampoo and bought it for years. I tried this new bottle at the hairdresser and it left my hair tacky and greasy, hairdresser and I were both appalled and it was so obvious my hair couldn't be left like that that I was sent back to have it washed with something else.

Loved the old formula but new one is awful

This was my go to shampoo for years, and I absolutely loved it. My hair was left feeling soft and manageable and absolutely perfect. Unfortunately this new formula leaves my hair flat, lifeless and feeling horrible. Simply won't buy it again, and I'm left wondering why and earth Aveda changed what was such a wonderful product. So disappointed.

Makes my hair lovely & soft

I did think twice about buying this product based on the reviews - but thought hey I'll give it a go. I'm glad I did, as this leaves my hair super soft yet still holds the curls. My hair is fine but I have a lot of it and it's got a natural curl. A lot of products make my hair frizzy but this didn't. Compared to other Aveda shampoo (Botanical, Colour Care, Cherry etc). You do have to use quite a lot more product to get a lather - so it's not as cost effective.

Awful, do not buy

The previous version of smooth infusion was amazing, game-changing for my hair. But the new version is awful. Leaves my hair looking lank and greasy after washing. I've tried sticking with it for a few weeks now but its horrible and I've had to buy something else. I'll be asking aveda for a refund.

No I will not buy again

I've been using Smooth Infusion for years so when I was forced to buy the new one I was dubious and disappointed you only sell a small bottle. I have very thick em curly waist length hair and straighten it once a week using all smooth Infusion products & my hairdresser uses it on me too. Dont like the new product at all, the fact that it doesn't foam up even after second shampoo is bad I had to use loads on each wash so went through bottle in a few weeks, I wash my hair once a week. Bring back smooth infusion please!! Fortunately I still have a litre of the conditioner!! I haven't ordered it again my hairdresser used Nutriplenish shampoo and the Sleek styling cream so I've ordered the shampoo & conditioner of that in litre size. Please bring back SMOOTH INFUSION

Terrible

I would give zero if I could. Loved the old formula, this was awful. Left my hair thick with grease, stuck to my head, just terrible. Tried a few time and then actually put in bin! Bring back the old formula please?

Bring back previous smooth very greasy

I agree with the other reviews this shampoo makes me have to wash my hair more frequently due to becoming greasy within a day of use & no lather which I like Öthe style spray also has the same issue my hair feels full of product and heavy residue the original smooth did not act this way.

Not the same anymore

I've used the Smooth Infusion range for a couple of years and loved it. When I purchased a new bottle recently I queried the new packaging and the store assistant said it would still deliver the same results. Wrong!!! I'm so disappointed. My hair feels tacky after drying and goes greasy within a couple of days. This never happened with the old formula. I've tried 3 times now in case I'd not rinsed properly but I always get the same result. Very disappointed and a waste of money.
